Who is Robbert van den Broeke?
Robbert van den Broeke is a Dutchman who presents himself as a paranormal medium. According to his biography, he was born in Breda on 7 May 1980 and grew up in western North Brabant. He describes experiences from a young age that he considers paranormal.
He became known nationally through television appearances, including Life & Cooking and the RTL programme Er is zoveel meer with Irene Moors. Crop circles, unusual photographs and experiences of contact with deceased people are important parts of his account.

Yet my interest in the invisible did not begin with that loss. It was already there when, as a child, I had experiences I could not explain. Later came other events, dreams and perceptions that continued to occupy my thoughts. While daily life revolved around family and work, questions for which I could find no simple answer remained in the background.

He says he receives impressions and messages from deceased people. Interviews and readings explain how he experiences this. Personal testimony does not itself constitute independent evidence of contact with the dead.
Crop circles and phenomena
He connects his experiences with crop circles and describes photographs he interprets as paranormal. His website contains a photo archive and accounts from people who say they witnessed unusual events.

Openness and discernment
Robbert van den Broeke’s accounts attract interest and criticism. Stichting Skepsis has critically examined his television appearances and photographs. One well-known issue involves the word “genverbrander” in a 2005 reading: the same spelling error appeared on a genealogy webpage. Skepsis regarded this as an indication that online information had been used.
Van den Broeke continues to describe his experiences as paranormal. His and others’ understanding of them does not make the supernatural explanation scientifically established. This collection offers room to explore his account and examine its basis.
